How is travel handled?+
Travel is quoted separately at-cost — flights, accommodations (typically 2 to 3 rooms), ground transport, gear shipping where needed. No markup. We send you the actual receipts. Most CA-to-Hawaii destination weddings come in around $2,500 to $3,500 in travel; Europe runs $5,000 to $8,000.
Do you bring backup gear?+
Yes. For destination weddings we always carry 2 of every camera body + 2 of every essential lens. Memory cards backed up to 2 separate drives in real-time. We never rely on local rentals — quality risk too high.
Do you have a passport / can travel internationally?+
Yes — current passport, no visa restrictions for any of our typical regions. Tax-resident in California, all bookings invoiced from CA, 1099 reporting handled stateside.
How early should we book?+
Destination weddings: 9 to 18 months out, ideally. Tight timelines (3 to 6 months) sometimes possible if we have an open weekend in your region. Italy + Iceland fill 12+ months early because we limit them to 4 to 6 trips per year.
Can you scout the location ahead of time?+
Full Weekend package includes a half-day scout the day before the wedding. We walk the ceremony site, check sun position, identify backup spots for weather, plan portraits. For Italy/Iceland we sometimes arrive 2 to 3 days early — quoted in the travel package.
