Casa del Mar vs. Shutters?+
Casa del Mar is the more upscale of the two — Mediterranean architecture, more formal feel. Shutters is more casual + has a stronger restaurant scene. Both same beach. Casa del Mar tends to attract slightly more sophisticated weddings; Shutters draws younger LA couples.
Can we do a beach ceremony in Santa Monica?+
Yes — beach ceremony permits via SaMo City. Costs $250 for a small ceremony, $1,500 for larger ones. We help with the application. Beach Houses also include private beach access without a separate permit.
Marine layer / fog impact?+
SaMo summer marine layer typically clears by 11am, returns 4-5pm. We schedule ceremonies for 1-3pm sun whenever possible. Fall + spring weddings have the most reliable weather.
Travel from Bay Area?+
Yes — we cover all LA west-side. Travel from SF Bay included in pricing. Friday arrival, Sunday departure standard for full Photo + Film coverage.
How early should we book?+
Saturday weddings April–October — 9 to 12 months out. Casa del Mar + Shutters fill earliest. Off-season + Friday/Sunday — 4 to 6 months.
