Anderson Valley is pinot country, much smaller, no traffic, no Napa polish. Couples who pick AV want quiet, redwoods, fog rolling in at golden hour, and 1/3 less spend on the venue side. The look is moodier — more film than commercial.
Best month?+
June through October. June gets fog mornings + sun afternoons (cinematic). September is harvest. October is the most photogenic — colored vine leaves, low-angle light. Skip July/August midday — hot.
How far is it?+
2.5 hours north of SF, 1 hour west of Healdsburg. Closest airport is Santa Rosa (STS) or SFO. Most guests fly into SFO + drive up.
